Neptune
Scientist believe that it rains diamonds on Saturn! It is thought diamond rains exists 8,000 km below the surface of this plane ice, created from commonly found mixtures of hydrogen and carbon, squeezed together at incredible pressure.
Saturn
Saturn is huge! It is the second largest planet in our Solar System. t is very windy on Saturn. Winds around the equator can be 1,800 kilometers per hour.! On Earth, the fastest winds "only" get to about 400 kilometers per hour.
Mars
Mars has a solid rocky surface, just like earth. So you can walk on this planet. Because of the high amounts of iron in the soil on this planet, ipeople have named it "the red planet". Even though it's red and looks really hot, it is super cold! The average temperature here is -62 °C! Humans haven’t been to Mars yet, but NASA has sent several rovers there already, they are doing research on how to make humans live there too!
Venus
The 3rd brightest planet. On Venus the surface temperature is about 460 °C. This is hot enough to melt lead! On this planet there used to be oceans. The Venusian atmosphere is also mainly made up of carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas. Because of this there has been a big greenhouse effect. Its clouds got so thick they started to trap more radiation than they reflected. It became so hot that all the planet's water turned to vapor. The vapor was then broken up by radiation.
